We have two mini donkeys who breathe and get fat. The new Mini muzzle is a much better fit for the girls and the new halter design is much easier to take on and off. We have used Green Guard muzzles for years to keep the girls’ weight in check. The muzzles are light weight, not hot during the summer, and last for years. Well worth the $$$.
This is the best muzzle ever. My veterinarian recommended them to me when my miniature horses started having metabolic issues. I have used them for years. They hold up well and horses love them. They are comfortable and work.
My mare's slow feeder hay net was getting ripped so I replaced it with this. She is less frustrated because she can grab more than a strand or two of hay. I'm less worried about her front teeth as she is muzzled for about 8 months a year.
I rate this 5 stars because I’m impressed with how well made and strong this is. But sadly it has not been able to withstand the rigors of my 4 year old warm blood on stall rest who really likes to use his teeth and was very frustrated by having a slow feeder. To be fair, I’m not sure there is any product out there that could, because he really gets after it. First he ripped off the reinforcing circle around the hole. From there he was able to slowly but surely rip it apart. It has only lasted about a month. If your horse is a little more subdued than that, I imagine it will work well for a long time!
I was hesitant to buy this as there are less expensive options out there. But this is easy to fill and tie, well constructed, and seems like it will be extremely durable. My horse moves it all around the paddock as he eats from it. Hr also gets every blade of hay from it so there’s no waste. Would definitely buy again.
This muzzle is the only one that works and seems to be the most comfortable. I hate that he has to wear it 9 months out of the year, but thankful there is this solution to provide him turnout! Thank you GG!
I recently ordered the muzzle inserts due to the recommendation of my equine dentist. He asked if I had a GG muzzle because he recognized the signs of wear & tear on my horses teeth. He said they are great muzzles but perhaps the inserts should automatically come with the muzzle because they all need it and he said they do work! Just passing this feedback along to you. 🌟💕🐎
What a great solution for slow feeding and eliminating hay wastage. Ty is is a sturdy bag and the buttons are easier to use than zippers. My horses took to the bags without an issue and I like the flexibility of hanging them or putting them on the ground.
These bags are the best! Both of my horses (one is overweight/on a diet, and the other has PPID,) love them! I already had large hay play bags. But I purchased two of the button bags. I love the fact that they are closed on one side. So even when the weather is miserable and the ground bad, I can still use them without worrying about mud getting in. And that velcro means business! LOL. Great design. I can really stuff them to keep the boys busy. There are days when I use all 4 bags, the large play bags, and the button bags. So well made. Definitely my horses' favorite!

Have used the muzzles for the last three years and on three different horses. Like the fit. Have lasted well and don't seem to introduce particular behavior issues or discomforts. Would definitely recommend.
We have had our two hay bags for a couple of months. They are working out great for our two ponies who are about 500 lbs each. We hang the bags up and the ponies have worked out how to get the hay out fairly quickly. Slightly smaller holes might slow them down a bit. So far the material the bags are made of seem to be holding up. We wonder how long they will last, maybe a year or two? They get a bit of use and the ponies love them! Thanks gg-equine!
